Bill Easton was a very successful running coach for his entire career. He coached 8 Olympians and 32 All-Americans throughout his career. His career highlights were 3 Drake University XC NCAA titles ands back to back NCAA Outdoor Track titles for Kansas University in 1959 and 1960. Anyways, he believed that in order to succeed, you have to be all in 100% of the time. So when it came to track, he believed you have to marry it. So, don't do your workouts and races half-heartedly... Go out there and marry the Track!
