Don't Ruin Your Season

"It's better if you're 10% undertrained rather than 1% overtrained."
This morning, I had an 8 mile run with the last 4 miles progressive with three of my friends. We talked throughout the run (social distancing of course) and told stories during and after the run. Anyways, they are college runners so I was trying to soak in all of the information and advice that I could. At one point, on of them told me this quote. When you're training, you won't perform is your legs are overtrained. Overtraining can also lead to injury. So, it's better to under-train and have more room for improvement without risking injury rather than overtraining, getting injured, or just not perform due to tired legs.
